He majored in law at Hosei University after which he became a police officer, later an instructor, at Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Academy. ![]() Shoto Tanemura, whose martial arts names are "Bikokuryu" (Secret Black Dragon) and "Kogyoku" (Shining Ball), was born on August 1947 in the town of Matsubushi in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Soke Shoto Tanemura firmly believes that Ninpo Bugei has truly come of age. The true mission of the Ninja is to deliver light to a dark world through perseverance. Through these martial arts, a Ninja hears what is silent, sees what is invisible, and endures what is excruciating. Ninpo is the highest self-defense of mind body and heart. Although the term Ninpo Bugei is know throughout the world, very few know its true significant. This attitude is called the spirit Ninniku. A ninja possesses a compassionate heart and pursues peace and harmony. This distortion has nothing to do with the reality of Ninpo. When speaking of Ninja, the image of a black clad assassin disappearing in a cloud of smoke is often what comes to mind. ![]()
